Settings & Configuration

Learn how to customize Alpha-Omega CMS through the admin dashboard — from site details to theme and menu management.

Alpha-Omega CMS Dashboard Settings

Accessing the Settings Panel

To open the configuration panel, log in to your Admin Dashboard and select Settings from the left-hand navigation menu. Only users with Administrator or Superadmin privileges can edit these options.

Global Site Settings

The General tab controls core details such as Site Name, Site URL, contact email, and the system time zone. These values are stored securely and update the front-end templates dynamically.

Theme & Appearance

The Theme tab lets you adjust the site’s color palette, typography, and layout preferences. Alpha-Omega CMS uses the Earthen Harmony palette by default, providing WCAG 2.1 AA contrast compliance across both light and dark themes.

Menu Configuration

Under the Menus tab, you can create, edit, or reorder menu structures for the Header, Footer, and Subfooter regions. The CMS automatically hides empty menus to maintain clean navigation.

Email & SMTP Settings

Alpha-Omega CMS supports outbound mail via secure SMTP. Enter your mail server hostname, username, password, and port number to enable contact-form and notification functionality. We recommend ports 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS).

Saving & Version Control

Each configuration change is recorded in the database with a timestamp and user ID. Major revisions can be tracked through the Changelog module for accountability and audit compliance.

All configuration pages inherit the CMS’s role-based access control (RBAC) layer to prevent unauthorized changes.
